Spicy Asian Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Bunch Cilantro
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 1lb Ground Beef
  • 2tsp Garlic Powder
  • Chabe Chili Sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/3 Cup of Milk
  • 1/2 Cup of Bread Crumbs
  • 1Tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Cup ABC Sweet Soy
  • ABC Extra Hot Sauce

Instructions:

  1. Finely chop the 1/2 bunch of cilantro.
  2. Finely chop the 1/2 onion into small cubes.
  3. Mince the 4 (or more) cloves of garlic.
  4. Set the chopped vegetables aside.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Farenheit.
  6. Add the chopped onions, bread crumbs, cilantro, and 2tsp of garlic powder to 1lb of ground beef in a large mixing bowl.
  7. Add Chabé Chili sauce to the mix per preference. The more, the better!
  8. Add the egg.
  9. Begin mixing with your hands. We recommend using gloves for this process.
  10. Add moisture by adding 1/3 cup of milk. The mixture should start to feel more like dough as you mix.
  11. Once thoroughly mixed, begin rolling into golf sized balls. Make sure that the balls are well compressed to avoid them coming apart in the oven.
  12. Place balls on a baking dish about 2 inches apart and place in the oven for 20 minutes.
  13. While that is baking, we will begin creating the sauce. Place 1tbsp of butter on a frying pan over medium heat.
  14. Once the pan is coated, add minced garlic to the pan.
  15. Add about 1/2 a cup of ABC Sweet Soy Sauce to the pan.
  16. Add ABC Extra Hot Sauce to the pan according to personal preference.
  17. Stir occasionally and let simmer.
  18. Once the meatballs are done baking, place 2 or 3 balls onto the pan and toss in the sauce.
  19. The balls are now ready to serve with a side of rice or as hors d’oeuvres!
